
The Bartlett Park District was established in 1964. The number of residents served by the Park District is approximately 41,000.
2009 Gold Medal Finalist
For 2009 the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA), in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), awarded Bartlett Park District as one of the four finalists in the Class IV Division (population 25,001 to 50,000) in its 2009 National Gold Medal Awards for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. The Gold Medal Award honors communities throughout the United States that demonstrate excellence in long-range planning, resource management, volunteerism, environmental stewardship, program development, professional development, and agency recognition. Each agency is judged on its ability to address the needs of those it serves through the collective energies of citizens, staff and elected officials.
The Bartlett Community Center is located at 700 S. Bartlett Road in Bartlett. This facility currently handles all program registration, facility rentals, and processing of season passes for the facilities. BCC Registration Desk hours: M-F 8:30am-7pm & Sat. 9am-1pm.
Thomas C. White Administration Building is located at 696 W. Stearns Road and open Monday – Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. This facility houses the administrative staff including Business Services, Human Resources and the Executive Director. Board meetings are held within this building as well.
