ICE SKATING
The Park District creates ice skating rinks at two locations, Leiseberg Park (325 E. Devon) for free-style skating and at Community Park (Stearns Rd & S. Bartlett Rd) for hockey play.  The rinks are designated for different experiences for safety reasons; please utilize the rinks in the way they are designated.

The rinks are made when temperatures are low enough for crews to flood or layer ice for the skating surface.  Both rinks are inspected and a flag system is utilized to signify skating conditions.

RED FLAG indicates that conditions are not safe. Skating is not permitted.
GREEN FLAG indicates that the skating surface is ready for use.
Always check the flag upon arrival at the rink before going on the ice.
