Bartlett Park District provides an excellent setting for nature related and hands on work areas for Cub Scout and Girl Scout activities. The programs listed offer Scouts the opportunity to explore and experience nature while completing the activities required for earning each achievement or badge. Programs are led by trained staff, and will combine games with hands on activities.
All programs are scheduled on a first come first served basis . Programs will be held rain or shine unless cancelled by the Park District. Be sure to dress for the weather, as all programs will have an outdoor segment, barring weather extremes.
Programs can be tailored for special events (i.e. Blue and Gold Banquets, Outings, Troop/Pack Meetings, Scout Camps). Call the Nature Center for more information.
From Daisy to Senior Scouts, Tiger Cubs to Boy Scouts we offer 90 workshops geared to fulfilling badge requirements. Programs for pack and group outings can be arranged on request.
Projects are available for Eagle Scouts. Service projects are available for Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts to work towards the completion of their community projects. For more information on available projects and scheduling, please call the Nature Center 847-608-3100.
