O’Brien Woods Interpretive Trail

Looking for something different for Bridging Ceremonies, Pack, Troop or Den Meetings? Located across from the wetland next to the library, is a self-guided nature trail and teaching circle complete with a fire pit surrounded by wooden benches. This area can accommodate up to 100 people.

Scout leaders and teachers will appreciate the abundance of educational and environmental opportunities this circle and path can provide.

Scout Leaders: It is the ideal setting for scout badge work, service projects and  ceremonial events.  

Teachers: It is the ideal setting for hands-on exploration of topics such as trees, insects, forests, wetlands, survival skills and more.

A rustic camping area is available for scout groups who would like to experience a camping adventure close to home.  The O'Brien Woods Interpretive Trail is a registered Boy Scout camp site area.
