7th & 8th Grade Girls Volleyball League
9/14/2010 to 10/27/2010

Learn fundamental and advanced volleyball skills in this fast paced game through structured weekly practices and games. Passing, setting, serving, spiking, blocking and digging skills plus offensive and defensive game strategies are taught in this fun but competitive environment. Coach Katrina Goncher, of All Star Sports, will be supervising and coaching all practices and games and will be assisted by parent volunteers. The season consists of 12 practices and 6 games. This league is in cooperation with School District U46 and Eastview Middle School but players from any school district are welcome. Eastview students will be subject to meeting the school sports participation eligibility requirements. *This information is subject to change based on the number of registered players/teams. Practices/game times may need to be extended to later in the evening if registration is higher than expected. An optional end of season tournament may be offered. Annual Twilight Golf Outing

Enjoy a night of Golf, dinner, raffles and prizes while helping to support the Bartlett Parks Foundation. Check-in starts at the Schrade Gym followed by dinner and nine holes of twilight golf at the Apple Orchard Golf Course, 692 W. Stearns Road, Bartlett. Fee includes dinner, beverage tickets, glow in the dark golf ball & necklace, 9 holes of golf and a goody bag. Golfers need to bring clubs, small flashlight and bug spray. Sign up alone and we’ll place you in a group, or you can grab 3 of your friends and sign up as a 4-some. We will be playing “best-ball” during this outing. Proceeds will benefit the Bartlett Parks Foundation scholarship fund. Check in time starts at 6pm with dinner at 6:15pm and golf starting at 7pm. Six Flags Fright Fest Teen Trip

Grades 5-8 are invited to spend a day off school braving the frightening roller coasters and haunted attractions at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee. Fright Fest Halloween events include haunted mazes, costumed ghouls, special shows, and rides. There is plenty of horror and suspense for everyone who dares enter the park. Program fee includes admission into the theme park and transportation to and from the Bartlett Community Center. Please bring money for lunch and souvenirs. Sign up early space is limited. Annual Halloween House Decorating Contest

Celebrate the Halloween season by participating in our annual decorating contest! Register for either the Theatrical or Themed Category. The Theatrical Category will be judged on use of the lights, music, sound, live actors, animation, even participation for the honor of Most Theatrical House in Bartlett. The Themed Category will be judged on use of materials that form a theme, the creativity in the display, and thoughtfulness into creating something that encompasses the Halloween season. *Remember, more is not necessarily better! LIFECENTER Indoor Sprint Triathlon

LIFECENTER Health & Fitness Club, with equipment sponsor Direct Fitness Solutions, present the Annual Indoor Sprint Triathlon: 10 minute swim, 15 minute bike, 15 minute run. Waves will be every 20 minutes beginning at 7am. Waves will be assigned and confirmation e-mails sent out Oct. 22. All participants must start at their confirmed wave time, no exceptions. Winners are determined by the total distance covered: Male and female divisions for ages 14- 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over. Awards to overall female and overall male winner. 1st and 2nd place medals will be given in each age division. This event is part of the Midwest Indoor Sprint Triathlon Series with additional park district events at Arlington Heights, Elk Grove, Elmhurst, Hoffman Estates, Oak Brook, Schaumburg, South Barrington and Streamwood. Polar Express: Trolley Night Ride

Stopping at the North Pole you will make your way into Santa’s Workshop where Santa will greet each child and present them with a small keepsake. Bring your cameras for plenty of memorable shots. Children must be accompanied by a registered and paid parent or guardian. Plenty of activities and goodies will be on hand to keep you occupied while you wait for your turn on the trolley.
